Sony TV (with NTSC) from US works in India

Everyone who own an LCD/LED TV purchased from US, and still wondering how to make it work, here is a ray of hope for you.
Just forget what you have read about in various other blogs about the Scan rates, Converters.
I got a Sony LED EX710 1080p TV from US hoping that it will work. Like every other person I scanned through the net to figure out whether it will work back in India or not. I didn’t find a single positive answer on how to get this work directly.
Took the RISK, got the TV to India.
Sony US TV support dual power modes, but only NTSC color system.
Check if you TV has 110 ~ 240V 50/60Hz written behind.
If “Yes” you can directly plug it in to our 230V power supply, you just need the Flat pin to round pin converter. Cost Rs 50
If “No” you just need to buy a 230 to 110 voltage converter, make sure the power (W) meets what is mentioned behind the TV. Cost Rs 350
I have Sun Direct Set-top box at home.
Initially when you plug in your Set-top box outputs to TV (yellow green red) you might find black and white video, but good sound clarity. This shows you got your TV safe without any functional damage.
Check whether you have Y Pb Pr component video option behind your Set-top box, if yes; then get a component video cable, price ranges from 550 to 2000 Rs.  If the answer is “No”, then get another set-top box.
Just plug it in to your component video to TV’s component video input points. Plug in your L and R audio inputs too.
There you Go enjoy the show with great clarity, worth getting it from US.
This works with Tata Sky too.
